Mr. Victor Wong Visual Effect Director, vfxNova Digital Productions Limited selected as one of the “Ten Outstanding Youth Persons” in 2005 Victor Wong studied Physics & Electronics and concerns himself with meta-physical intelligence. He was exposed to the cultural climate in North America and graduated from the University of Washington in Seattle in 1989. Since early 90's, he has been aware of his cultural vision in pioneering the emerging digital creative media and engaged with the exploration of new media and potential of art in the film industry. He once served as digital media consultant for Hong Kong Cyberport and Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic & Vocational Qualifications. Victor was renowned for his visionary treatment of unparalleled beauty to visual effects design for movies. He had developed visual effects treatment for over 100 feature films. His work won numerous International Design Awards including The New York Festival Award, Tokyo JIAA Advertising Award, Hong Kong Film Awards and The Golden Horse Awards. |
![]() | Dr. Winnie Tang, JP Adjunct Professor, Department of Computer Science, Faculty of Engineering and Faculty of Architecture, The University of Hong Kong selected as one of the “Ten Outstanding Youth Persons” in 2006 Dr. Tang is one of the locally-bred IT entrepreneurs of Hong Kong. Dr. Tang has over 20 years of experience in the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) industry. Dr. Tang is the Founder and Chairman of Esri China (Hong Kong) Limited, an international office of Esri which specializes in Geographic Information System (GIS) technology, and is among the top 50 software companies in the world. Over the years, Dr. Tang promotes technological and social developments by writing articles and serving the society. She also shares her views regarding conservation, smart city and entrepreneurship to instil in positive attitudes to the community. |
![]() | Prof. Kenneth Leung, JP Professor, School of Biological Sciences, The University of Hong Kong selected as one of the “Ten Outstanding Youth Persons” in 2010 Professor Kenneth LEUNG is Professor at School of Biological Sciences in the University of Hong Kong. His research focuses on marine ecology, ecotoxicology and biodiversity conservation. He is currently serving as an expert member in various advisory committees for the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region such as the Advisory Council on the Environment; Country and Marine Parks Board; Town Planning Appeal Board Panel, and Red Tide/HAB Expert Advisory Group. He is also the Chairman of the Marine Parks Committee, Fisheries Enhancement Fund Management Committee, and Marine Mammal Conservation Working Group. Owing to his professional achievements and dedicated community services, he was selected as one of the “Ten Outstanding Young Persons” for Hong Kong by Junior Chamber International in 2010. In 2017, Professor Leung was awarded the 19th Biwako Prize for Ecology by the Ecological Society of Japan and conferred as a Fellow of the Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry in recognition of his outstanding contribution and achievement in environmental science and environmental policy. In 2018, he was selected as one of the Top 100 Asian Scientists by the Asian Scientist Magazine. |
