To enhance primary and secondary school students’ understanding of giant panda, Ocean Park Hong Kong will launch the “Jockey Club PANDAstic Discovery Adventure” funded by The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust. The programme provides students with opportunities to self-explore and visit the “Giant Panda Adventure” and the “Hong Kong Jockey Club Sichuan Treasures” exhibits in Ocean Park. With the free learning package, the students will be able to deepen their knowledge of giant pandas and explore ways to contribute to the conservation of giant pandas in everyday life. Welcome all students across the school to join to together and participate!

*Ocean Park will send a “Notification of Successful Application” to successfully registered schools by Early-January, 2026.
Notes
  • This programme must be applied by schools, each students can only participate in the programme once
  • Schools can enjoy a transportation subsidy for travelling between Ocean Park and their schools by coach bus (The maximum subsidy amount per student is HK$50)
  • Reapplying schools must confirm that all participating students are joining this programme for the first time, with submission of declaration form with the online application Download - Declaration Form
  • Completing the application form does not guarantee successful registration. All applications will be reviewed and approved by Ocean Park after the deadline. Priority consideration will be given to schools meeting the following conditions:
    • Schools applying Jockey Club PANDAstic Discovery Adventure for the first time
    • Special schools on the “List of Aided Special Schools” by Education Bureau
    • Schools located in remote districts
    • At least 40% of the total students of the applying school are the recipients for the below schemes with submission of declaration form with the online application
      • Comprehensive Social Security Assistance (CSSA) scheme
      • School Textbook Assistance (TA) scheme
      • Student Travel Subsidy (STS) scheme

Application Notes

  1. This programme is only available for schools classified under the school level of Education Bureau of the HKSAR as “Primary Schools” or “Secondary Schools” (including Special Schools among these school levels), but not available for schools classified as “others” by the same Bureau.
  2. This programme must be applied by schools. Each student can only participate in the programme once. Schools can register all their students on a single application form, and all participating students must visit on the same date.
  3. Reapplying schools must confirm that all participating students are joining this programme for the first time, with submission of declaration form with the online application Download - Declaration Form .
  4. This programme is only available on specific days, and not applicable on Sundays, Public Holidays and the park’s block out dates. Please refer to the Jockey Club PANDAstic Discovery Adventure Calendar for details.
  5. Programme participants must be students and teachers registered at the school indicated on the application form. Participating students must be aged 21 or below.
  6. Schools can select up to one visiting date per programme month on the application form and rank their preference. The actual visit date will be confirmed in the “Notification of Successful Application”. Due to the high demand of the programme, schools are encouraged to provide multiple date options to increase the chances of successful application.
  7. This programme does not include guided tours of attractions. The operation schedules of “Giant Panda Adventure” and the “Hong Kong Jockey Club Sichuan Treasures” exhibits are subject to actual situation of the venues. No special arrangements will be provided as part of the programme. Schools may plan the visit according to their own schedule.
  8. Online application must be completed on or before the application deadline. Late and repeat application would not be accepted. Failure to meet the application criteria or on-site application will not be accepted.
  9. 1 accompanying teacher ticket will be provided for every 10 student applied. Students cannot use the teacher admission ticket, and vice versa. No additional teacher tickets will be provided beyond those allocated for accompanying teachers. Other teachers and adults must purchase additional admission tickets at their own expense. Each participating student can purchase up to one additional adult ticket at a discounted price of $225.
  10. Applying schools must fill in the number of additional adult tickets required on the application form. Late application would not be accepted. Ocean Park will issue the “Payment Notice” through email to the applicant at least 6 weeks before visiting date. Payments must be settled 1 month before the visiting date. The payment of the additional adult tickets can only be settled by bank transfer or crossed cheque deposited into bank to Ocean Park. The pay-in-slip and the completed payment notice must send to jcpandastic@oceanpark.com after payment is settled. The application will be disqualified for late or incomplete payment. Tickets purchased can only be used on the date of visit and are non-refundable.
  11. Ocean Park will review and approve the applications based on the needs and the location of the applying schools. Priority consideration will be given to schools meeting the following conditions:
    • Schools applying Jockey Club PANDAstic Discovery Adventure for the first time
    • Special schools on the “List of Aided Special Schools” by Education Bureau
    • Schools located in remote districts
    • At least 40% of the total students of the applying school are the recipients for the below schemes with submission of declaration form with the online application
      • Comprehensive Social Security Assistance (CSSA) Scheme
      • School Textbook Assistance (TA) Scheme
      • Student Travel Subsidy (STS) Scheme
  12. The “Declaration Form” Download - Declaration Form must be submitted with the online application if needed. The form must be endorsed with authorised signature from the school's responsible person and a valid school stamp (File size limit: 10 MB).
  13. After online submission, an acknowledgement email will be issued to the email address provided by the applicant. This application acknowledgement confirms successful submission of the application to Ocean Park only. The application is still pending formal approval by Ocean Park.
  14. All applications will be reviewed and approved. Ocean Park will issue a “Notification of Successful Application” to successful applicants within 15 working days after the application deadline. Successful applicants will need to complete the reply slip according to the instructions on the notification to confirm their visiting details.
  15. The approved programme quota is non-transferable and non-changeable.
  16. Successful applicants will receive the “Programme Confirmation Letter” at least 3 working days before the visiting date. Tickets are available for collection upon presentation of the “Programme Confirmation Letter” and valid identification documents of accompanying teacher at the Park’s Ticketing Office on the date of visit. Number of students, accompany teachers and additional adult tickets issued will be strictly in accordance with information provided in the application form. Ocean Park reserves the right to check students’ identity upon entry. All students must carry valid student identity cards for verification purpose at the turnstile.
  17. All programme participants, including students, teachers and additional adults, must be accompanied by the corresponding schools’ teacher and enter the Park in a group. Individual late comer will not be entertained.
  18. If the following events occur within 2 hours before park opening, Ocean Park will reschedule the visits for schools affected, details will be announced separately after the scheduled visit date:
    • The Hong Kong Observatory issues Red or Black Rainstorm Warning Signal, or;
    • The Hong Kong Observatory issues Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal Number 1 or higher*, or;
    • The Education Bureau announces class suspension of all schools.(*If The Hong Kong Observatory issues Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal Number 1 or higher, the school may decide on its own whether to proceed with the visit or not.)
  19. Unless there are extreme weather notifications issued by the Hong Kong Observatory (HKO) or special arrangements made by the Education Bureau, the programme will not accommodate requests for rescheduling in advance.
  20. All participating students must complete the questionnaire within 2 weeks after the visiting date.
  21. Schools can enjoy a transportation subsidy for travelling between Ocean Park and their schools by coach bus. The maximum subsidy amount per student is HK$50. If the total transportation cost exceeds the subsidy limit, the remaining balance must be borne by the applying school. If the transportation cost is below the subsidy limit, only the actual spent will be reimbursed. The coach route must strictly be directly between the school and Ocean Park only. Subsidy for schools in islands district excludes ferry fares. Schools should contact and arrange coach bus services on their own. Payment shall be made to coach bus companies before the submission of the transportation subsidy application.
  22. Applying schools must provide their bank details if they are applying for the transportation subsidy upon receiving the “Notification of Successful Application”, and upload the soft copies of invoice(s) indicating the route taken and receipt(s) indicating the proof of payment via online within 3 weeks after the visiting date. The school must also submit the originals by post to Discovery & Education Department, 1/F, East Wing, Ocean Park, 180 Wong Chuk Hang Road, Wong Chuk Hang, Hong Kong. The envelope must be labelled with “Transportation Subsidy Application for Jockey Club PANDAstic Discovery Adventure” and the application reference number. The name of the payee of the reimbursement must be the school. A cheque for the subsidy will be issued and mailed to the applying school within six months after the application and receipts are approved.
  23. If the school application for the current programme period is unsuccessful, a "Notification of Unsuccessful Application" will be issued and the application will automatically be carried forward to next batch of applications, and the school will not be required to resubmit the application. Ocean Park will contact successful applicants via telephone or email for further follow up.
  24. If the following events occur within 2 hours before park opening, Ocean Park will reschedule the visits for schools affected, details will be announced separately after the scheduled visit date:
